I've got a bunch of beading events coming up. One of this years' graduating fashion design students heard I was loaning jewels to the 2005 graduates and said 'me too!' so I've been finishing off some spring stuff for her November show. Plus a private show next weekend. And preparing a website exhibition of my recent work,,,phew. It meant staying home this weekend and beading my little fingers off.
Lo and behold, what's on Sky?...a Stargate marathon. 48 hours back to back episodes. Bliss...and highly conducive to beading. Add to that the beads I bought from Susan Burwash:

and you could say I had a perfect beading weekend. Isn't the red in these beads divine? My favourite. I'm keeping this set for lil' ol' me. Sometimes it's good to spend a few days really focusing on your art, it's satisfying an a cellular level. The piece I'm happiest with is a free form necklace using daisy chain.
