As of 7:30 PM PST, she's in Flagstaff, AZ. Plans to stop near there for the night, then on to California.... Sounds very chipper-- she said she hasn't been able to sleep, so she's kept driving, but is now starting to be able to relax.

Yeah, Becki is moving to California. She has been planning this for about a couple months atleast and has been keeping us posted about it.
I didn't really follow the conversation too much, but I atleast know that she is moving there.

She's going to be living in Sta. Margarita, on what was my father's ranch (now in probate). How long will depend mainly on how long she can deal with country living (about an hour to town). Look back over the last 3 months or so of posts... I think the last thread was entitled "Becki's big move across the USA...". Also posts about chickens, rattlesnakes, squirrel shoots, the earthquake, etc...
She's driving a moving van/truck, and towing her car.... I'm a bit concerned about her getting from I-5 to the ranch-- Hwy 58 is VERY twisty in places, and there's been fog and rain to deal with lately. Kaytee "Simplexities" on

One good thing about twisty roads, I always am more alert when driving on roads that take thought as opposed to the straight ones that put you to sleep with boredom.

The problem with the twisty roads on Hwy 58 is that in addition to being twisty, they are mountain roads-- with a steep drop a couple of feet from the pavement, and no guard rails. Clouds sometimes sit on the road.... And people (often in trucks) come at you in the opposite direction, sometimes over the center line.

OMG!! She is a wonder!
Thank goodness she arrived safe and sound. I hope she's able to sleep for a full day and gather her strength and energy for the unpacking and setting up to happen.

Oh how wonderful is that!! I always knew she was a CA girl at heart. She is gonna just love it out there. Such a gorgeously beautiful area.

This is so very cool. I think this will be a very good thing for her. A whole new look at life. I am sure it was hard for her to leave behind Marquise, but sometimes, if you don't take care of yourself, you cannot take care of anyone else.
What a great time for her to come too! Spring is just around the corner....a perfect symbolic time for a new beginning!
And, the next time I head down Sandy Eggo way, I will get to meet her in person!!
