I entered this way at the beginning and now almost wish I hadn't - there are so many absolutely stunning beads pictured there! I have no chance of winning now, but it sure is fun and droolworthy to look at. People still have until May 15th to enter. I have to point out Kimberley Afflek's entry - holy Goddess that is one gorgeous bead!!

Anyway - have a look - you won't regret it!

Sigh! They are all so gorgeous. I love the cherry blossoms strand. I just can't even begin to understand how you lampworkers do such gorgeous things. Such talent. Jan

Kiddo, I don't see why you, Kalera or Laurie would have any reason to feel inferior. All of your beads are equal or better than the rest of the entries, and you guys _should_ consider yourselves worthy competition for those guys.

I wore a necklace I had made from one of your earliest sets today, and got boatloads of compliments. I had to turn down several offers to buy it, saying that the beads are very special to me, and that I'm not parting with the necklace. (Sheesh, just because I made the necklace doesn't mean I want to sell it!)

Hey Kandice.

I love the set you submitted. But you know what? I bet if you did a string of the one that is the focal or the same in different colros, it would even strike the 'judges' more! It looks like presentation plays a role in some of these too.

Oh good! I still have time!

I love the Blushing Romance Vessel and the Lentil Garden right above it! I've never cared much for the lentil beads, but that set makes me want one of the tools to make them!

Kandice, Thank you for the compliment! I have to tell you, when I saw the set you had entered, I almost didn't enter mine. That is a BEAUTIFUL set of beads!!!!!! I would hate to have to decide who is going to win this one. So many of them are just stunning!

Kandice,

Your entry is gorgeous, as always. I also liked Roger Child's delicate little flowers and leaves and our own Kalera's entry.

Kandice your beads are worthy, they really are. Here let me fix that little chink in your armour dahlink.

I tried to look -- I adore those challenges -- but it made my computer go boom. Now I have to walk the Merc and dash off to class. GOOD BYE ALL!

I agree - however, I already changed my entry once and don't want to tick off the gal who's putting up the photos. :) I wanted to maybe submit the beads I did for Kalera. I don't have a set of flower buttons on hand to submit, but I might have the time to do some before the 15th. Who knows. :)

LOL - oh, please Kimberly! Your bead is the best one on the page, IMO. Mine is way simplistic in comparison! I can't imagine how long it took you to do all that on one bead. Wow! I certainly wouldn't want to choose, either, though. I can understand why Corina's letting people vote instead. Eeek!

Can we see them? I don't remember seeing them. ~~ Sooz

FWIW, I looked at the challenge site and I don't think any of the RCB entrants have anything to be ashamed of. Everyone has a different style, and it's hard to judge beads made in one style against beads made in another -- but ALL the beads on that page are simply stunning.

I LOOOOVE those beads. I had them out today, plotting... and then I got on eBay and bought some silver. I have a plan... a cunning plan. That involves a to-die-for bracelet. My original choker idea is out the window because if they're on my neck I can only see them when I'm in front of a mirror, and people might think it was wierd if I walked around with a mirror all the time. :)

ROFL - You know, I never thought of that! I never wear chokers - and the necklaces I do wear are usually long enough so that I can look at and fondle the beads. :) Must be why I wear only bracelets most of the time. I can't wait to see what you come up with, Kalera. :)

I love your beads. I have to tell you that although I've bought two sets of your beads, I've never made anything with them because I have too much fun ogling them and picking them up and feeling the texture of the flowers. If you are going to change your entry, you might submit a set of floral cubes. Most of the other entries are round or oval shapes. I loved Kim Affleck's bead as well, just incredibly gorgeous! Patti

LOL - Actually, floral cubes are what my original entry consisted of (it was up for several days), but then a bunch of people from here told me I should enter flower buttons instead! :) I think the gal that hosts this would be ticked off if I kept switching on her. :)

I think that's hilarious. It just shows you and I are in sync! Patti
