That's what a lot of lampworkers do. Sell 3 or 4 sets in one auction.

Why in the world is it costing you $3 to send out a pair of beads? If you do it first class, it shouldn't cost that much.

But if I got a pair of beads for $5, I'd be willing to pay your shipping -- I'd still consider it a bargain. I speak as a longtime eBayer, lampwork buyer, and someone who used to have a mail order business, if I need qualifications......

Kathy Perras sells small, single pairs on eBay. You could ask her how she does it. Dee Howl also sells pairs, same venue.

I am in Canada so it is $1.70 to the US to mail a package if I recall correctly. I don't recall exactly what my little mailers cost but I have them (maybe $.75 or so), additional bubble wrap, an organza bag (maybe $1.00), and a trip to the post office all to factor into my shipping/handling cost. I also generally send additional spacers but that is really neither here nor there. I also sort of mentally consider my eBay and Paypal fees, the paper, ink and labels to send a packing slip and to label the mailer. This is why I generally offer free shipping though because otherwise I can't really recover my costs. It seems bass ackwards, I am sure, but to me it seems more fair to just include it and have a minimum price determined for my beads.

If I feel I have sold the beads for a relatively low price I use a little plastic bag inside the mailer rather than the organza bag. If I am sending someone a particularly nice bead I like to send nicer packaging.

Does that make sense? Would you suggest something different?

I'll see what I can do about getting pictures taken. I have some special circumstances at home here for the moment that limits the time I can spend on that but I will try.

I like making little sets because I like making earrings too.
