hmm. I'm not an expert on color (or anything else, for that matter!) but the way I understand it, you translate all your colors into shades of grey. Looking at your bracelet in that way - it's all one color. Not that it isn't pretty in one color, but I don't think that's what you intended. A lighter shade of that amethyst color would have added depth and still kept the monocromatic theme that you chose.

Ok, I get what you mean. When I think about your suggestion in terms of drawing, I use shades of grey to create depth and dimension. Using a different colour value does the same thing. This is wonderful critique, I'll be sure to implement it in my next piece.
