My first paper piece!

I am coming back to life again after lurking for so darn long....



I just finished my first paper piece block! I did the Texas Block from Carol Doak! I am really proud of myself. I can't wait to do more.. it will be a table runner when it's finished.



Tonight I am going to start working on an applique project that is also new to me. Never done one and I am really excited about getting started on it. I am shipping my hubby and son out the door for a Superbowl Party and I am going to have a nice quiet house all to myself! what a perfect time to start something new!!

That sounds so fun! I remember finishing my first PP block! It was exhilarating!!! Have a great time!

Hand applique or machine? I've recently gotten hooked on hand applique. I find it quite relaxing, though I haven't done much in the last week or so. I was too busy reading "American Wife"; I had borrowed it from the library and had only two weeks to get it read and returned.

It's going to be hand. I may attempt it with machine when I get my new machine (Janome 6600) out of lay away. Which maybe this year.. lol. I was wanting to start tonight, but the men in my life are fickle and decided to watch the game on teh big screen here at the house... So, I will start the new project tomorrow. I really want a quiet house when I start on this one.
