Too bad that geocities is usually out of bandwith...

this is probably why the yahoo group to stay updated is so popular - I put the files in the files section before I add them to the website. :-)
mind you my new site hasn't exceeded bandwidth yet as far as I can see.
I couldn't access the info this morning, but now it's coming through! Got to go get busy! Alice
oh dear I'm sorry!
you had better get a move on as as soon as my server lets me I'm putting part 2 up (having server problems today - must be the heat! LOL
time for more sewing!
if you have troubles getting into the site and you have yahoo maybe joining the quilt_mystery group is an option - the mystery goes into the files too
*or* email me and I will email the PDF to you :-)there is a way to deal with everything!
is up on the site now
the same offer applies; if you have problems you can choose to join my yahoo group quilt_mystery *OR* email me for the files
is up.. I have waited a bit before announcing in the hopes that this will help
have fun!
We have to join a yahoo group to get the rest of the files now? I can't get to the geocities site anymore, it's exceeded its bandwidth. Bah.
you may if you *want* to unless you would prefer to receive the files by email (or if you happen to have yahoo/msn/skype messenger I can pass the files on like that too) email me with your preferred solution and I will make it happen :-)
are up - it took a long time but the files were so big I couldn't upload them anymore as my site was too full - I had to rewrite part of the last part and they are now on the site
enjoy!
I've printed all the directions except part 5a, which I haven't been able to access....maybe tomorrow! Now, I didn't say that I had everything DONE to that point, but I have completed step one!! (Miscut one strip and had to return to the store to buy another quarter yard of fabric, handwashed it, machine dried it and got back to work.) Too bad there were other things on my schedule today...thanks for doing this. It has been fun. Hope to finish tomorrow.
Thank you!! I have a photo at
I might use those extra HST blocks on the back somehow.

well all things considered getting the pattern to download appeared to be a feat in itself!
I'm glad you were able to fix the fabric problem :-)
I can't wait to see the result of your mystery :-) do share photo's of the top!
Ok, Kay, I snuck a peek at your other photos too. Can I just tell you that the dragonfly piece is positively fantabulous? I think I am going to have to make one of those myself if you won't send me yours!
All of your other photos are great too, but that dragonfly really smacked me this morning!

I managed to download all but the last step, but I haven't been able to get in since. I hadn't wanted to make you send me a dozen files, since I wanted to download all the files for both sizes. If you would please send me the files for the last step, both sizes, I'd really appreciate it. My email addy here is unmunged. Thanks!
Well, it's another (rainy) day, so I'll work on the quilt some more. I've been able to access all the instructions now, but I get the same page for both the 5a and 5b links. They are both 5b for optional layout. Can you send me page 5a? Thanks so much!
Danielle,
Thank you for your comments about my dragonflies! I consider myself a beginning quilter, but that piece got me excited. It started as a Do-It-Yourself Round Robin from the Pat Sloan RR Swaps (applique and more) Yahoo Group. I knew I wanted to use black-white-red. And dragonflies. An 8th grade student in one of my computer classes was searching for dragonflies in Microsoft Clipart one class period. Out of the corner of my eye, I could see what she found. The graphic inspired the arrangement of the three dragonflies. It's not even finished! Now it has a white border and it needs applique flowers around the border and dangling into the upper right corner. I've been afraid to do any more work on it for fear of messing it up. Now that summer's here, I'll work on it. I'll use Pat Sloan's flowers of course!
If you join the group
Off to put the borders on my 4th of July wallhanging. (That was such a cool idea!) Then the Carol Doak Celebration Block, then . . . . the dragonflies. And somewhere in there, I promise to get my June and July RCTQ BOM blocks done.
Thanks to online quilters for all the inspiration. (And from my student!) Kay Ahr in Reno/Sparks, Nevada
