RCTQ Directory Formatting

It seems EVERYONE likes getting the directory - but most have difficulty "shuffling" it to make it do what they need it to do.

For those who have Excel but have voiced the fact they don't know how to use it, I would be happy to email them some instructions. I used to teach Microsoft applications and I have even created more than 25 manuals for classes that I taught through local (in Minnesota) community education programs. My classes were filled with senior citizens, moms returning to work... not techie types -- so you can be sure my books are VERY user friendly.

I would be happy to print out in PDF format and email to you the appropriate pages that discuss sorting and filtering (which by the way are NOT difficult features within Excel to use). If you use Word -- I could send the necessary information about sorting within Word tables. These would be for your personal use only.

If someone really wants to boost their PC skills (sorry -- not a Mac helper), contact me and I could send you complete manuals maybe in exchange for a few FQ's (or a list of the manuals I have written) . This is not meant to create "business" for me. When I moved from Minnesota to Michigan I told dear hubby the deal was... no more working! I get to stay home! But if my manuals could help some of my RCTQ friends boost their computer skills... why not?

If the directions are easy to use, I'd love to have a copy for Excel. I'd even be so grateful to send you a squishie in the mail ;-)

PS -- please email me privately -- so I will be sure not to miss anyone! Also

-- each application (i.e., Excel - for example) has multiple books -- so I need to know specifically what you want to know about.

Thanks

I would be interested in anything you have on Excel. Just name your "price."

One option would be (although you would lose sorting capabilities) would be to create like a "telephone book". I could do that in about 2 minutes once the spreadsheet version is complete. It really is a simple process.

I don't think there is any way to get the table version to fit 8 1/2 x 11 -- even landscape -- with the number of columns. You would have to use like a font that would be so small you can't even read it.

That's exactly my problem - the printing. I *only* use mine in their printed state. My DH printed out the first one, but it was very small for reading (though I managed it then!). Now I ask for the text version and it prints beautifully (on A4 portrait). I have it to hand always and perfectly legible. . In message , Kate G. writes

It is possible to get the excel spreadsheet on one page. I do it as soon as I receive it, but yes, the font is very small (but readable). You just go to page setup and click "fit to page" and fill in 1 wide by

10 high (the 10 can be any big number) and it ends up pr> I don't think there is any way to get the table version to fit 8 1/2 x 11 --
