RCTQ BOM Question

I've been wandering through the gallery and have been noticing that our number of photos have been dropping over the months...and since there are only three months posted, I'm a little worried.

Granted, I know that I am behind and haven't posted anything for June yet either, I am just wondering if life is getting in the way for the rest of you as well, or if there is something else going on?

Or is it just that no one remembers to send their beautiful pictures to Teri to be posted? You do realize that you need to get them to her to be posted, and I'm sure I saw several posts about the June block being finished by people!

Personally, I keep forgetting to send them. Have one more to do for June, then onto July, and I will send them all at one time.

I'm doing both the pieced and the paper pieced and sending on to Teri. I have the July pieced done already, and am starting the PP one. Lots of people are posting on their own websites.

I've been very negligent. All caught up on the blocks (except for July), but haven't got round to photos. The camera's full of un-downloaded pictures, so you needn't feel discriminated against ;-) Roberta in D

Not feeling discriminated against...just wanted to make sure the patterns were up to snuff as it were! I would hate to have people not participate because they didn't like the blocks or thought they were too hard or something...

Just a general concern about everyone. I was hoping that the photos were the problem and not the blocks!

The blocks are no problem. I'm enjoying making them. I'd rather have my pictures on my page and not on someone else's site.

I have my blocks done, and just as soon as i remember where I put the #X% camera I will send pics. One of those days when I thought "If I put it (the camera) right here, I will know right where it is when I want it."

My instructions for June BOMs are sitting with the fabric on my sewing machine just waiting on me to have time to do them! They were recently joined by my July BOM instructions and fabric! So many projects, so little time!!!

I just did May two days ago...so you aren't alone there! I'm concentrating on a couple of other projects in between taking care of DD, running to the doctor twice a week for DK (Dear Kid) yet-to-be (at week 32 - just 8 more to go if I make it that long! It could be 4 to

6!), school work and life in general!

can they not be on both your own page and Teris pages? for those of us here who live vicariously (aka not doing the bom) really love seeing all the different colourings of the same block in one place each time we go to peruse the goodies. :) jeanne

The blocks are great Dannielle.

I had to buy more fabric which meant I had to find the time to travel to the next town to visit Spotlight to get some thing a bit cheaper than what is stocked here in either the 'sewing' shop or the 'craft' shop. Since buying the fabric I just haven't had time, but the instructions have been saved ready.

Kids are back at school next week and DH is away for 3 days so should be at good time to start.

Sorry you've been worried, Danielle. As for me, I am half way through *last* year's >g< I am only printing out the FPP ones for this year. It will be well into next year before I do them - I just like the idea, which is why I keep them to do later. I shall do them small again. When I see them all, I will decide whether to do them 3" (like I am doing 2005's) or possibly

2" if they look manageable at that size. . In message , Dannielle writes

I started a new full time job and haven't finished the June applique block yet. I have one all cut out, and an idea and parts for a slightly different second one. All that is left for the first one is sewing, and the second needs a little cutting before sewing. I have no clue when I'll get to it though because I am having trouble getting time to do all the necessary things, much less the time for fun things. The new job isn't going well either. Mary, could you send them to Teri too. I am really enjoying looking at how different all of them turn out in different color ways and it is easy to do when they are all in the same place. The differences are even more fun to see in the applique blocks since there is some leeway for artistic changes or little additions in the applique designs. Debra in VA See my quilts at

Have you got a scanner? I didn't take pictures with my camera to send to Teri. I just put the block on the scanner bed and scanned the block. I then used the scanner software to crop the picture and saved it as a .jpg, then e-mailed the .jpg to Teri. It worked like a charm. Debra in VA See my quilts at

Patti,

I wouldn't have expected anything more from you! After, small seems to be your calling from what I have seen! I imagine I'll be able to see yours in about 2010 or so!

Only half way through last years eh? Hmmm, can't wait 'til those are done and we can see them all put together!

Thanks, Danielle, for such a generous deadline. If I get any slower, that might be just about OK; but I am seriously going to try to hurry up this year!! . In message , Dannielle writes
