Seems that delphi is cheaper, the frit they have is by the pound dor a couple of bucks more then your paying for 4.1 oz.

I have a box of "assorted "leftovers from a bulk frit buy some of us did a year ago - it has varying amounts from just a bit - to 20 Gram. various colors .... I was going to auction it - but never got around to it. Interested? Cheryl
I have been looking for frit. I have never used raku frit, and was wondering wherer to get it. Is it called raku frit? I usually buy from arrowsprings, and I don't think they have it. I have to check those out:Thanks! Cyndi
Here it is:
Thanks! I will buy some and try it out! Can't wait to play with it! Seen so many gorgeous beads with raku, haven't got to play with it yet:) Cyndi
I know that lampwork beadmakers get the Raku frit colors to "pop" by cooling down the glass and then re-heating it. Is there any way to get a similar effect in fusing without cracking the glass? I imagine you would have to full fuse and then crash cool and then re-heat? I can't imagine what kind of a firing schedule would work for that. Any ideas? Thanks, Patti
I've kiln-fired the raku, and it's very pretty in an earth-tone way but there just doesn't seem to be a way of bringing the rainbow colors out in the kiln. I think the reason for that is that it doesn't just require rapid cooling, it also requires intense high heat - one of the reasons Hot Head users can't get the brilliant colors users of oxy/propane torches can.
I have gotten some really interesting effects in the kiln using it on opaque colors, though, because they tend to react to it. Especially blues and purples.
