Okay, so I already own 270 assorted pairs of scissors for every conceivable purpose (Never use your sewing shears to cut paper), but I went ahead and bought a pair of Fiskars for Kids (ages 5+, with the "pointed" tips).
I'll be dipped: They do, indeed snip PowerPro nice and clean.
Close examination reveals why. The blades of regular Fiskars have a 45 degree bevel on the cutting edge which gives them a sharp, knife-like blade. The kids' scissors have no bevel so a child could not slice herself by running her little fingers along the edge.
Because there is no bevel on the kid's scissors, the line doesn't bend as you cut it. It's sheared off straight.
And, yes, I *have* sliced my fingers with Fiskars scissors. It's worse than a paper cut. =:-O
