feature? My Nikon 4300 has a timer, surely the Olympus does too. Then you get rock steady, clear pics no matter what.....<

LOL Basically because I shoot fast and don't want to take the time, AND I don't have a space to keep a regular setup (I shoot at my dining room table, which is in daily use). Maybe someday. For now it's quick & dirty, and works pretty well. But I want a REAL diffuser!

I was setting mine at 64, as I thought that would be better. I use a tripod and a remote.

S*it! Can I come over and play? Barbara Dream Master

Sure! Come on over! It should start arriving sometime this coming week! The Wale shipment is in a truck all by itself. LOL!

Darn, and I have to go to LA on Thursday morning. The baby boy who left home 3 months ago is graduating from boot camp at Pendleton on Halloween. I won't be back home until Nov. 3rd. And I'll be bringing my "baby" back home with me for a week.

Well, it's really opened me up, that's for sure. The inspiration is thick as honey here, and shows no sign of abating. I'm almost afraid to turn on the torch tonight, as I get so lost in the glass these days that I just KNOW that I'll stay up all night melting stuff again like I did last night, and I'm really too exhausted to be safe at the flame.

Plus Macy just about broke my wrist today: She spotted a squirrel and I had her leash around my wrist. Damn! I did something to the nerve bundle and broke a huge blood vessel. Lump the size and color of a small plum on my hand. Ouch!

OMG I can't believe the work I did last night! Some of the best stuff I've ever created, both artistically and creatively.

One of my frequent customers sent me an email bright and early today saying that he had vibes about me last night, knew I was working and wanted to buy everything that came out of the kiln today! Interesting, particularly because he KNOWS that I dabble in all sorts of techniques, yet these are all exactly what I would pick for him.

I'm having SO MUCH FUN!!!!!

how very COOL, Tink!!! what a connected customer you have there!

Do you have any MSM crystals at home? If so, soak your wrist in it, with MSM dissolved in hot water. You can also ice it (the MSM water), or re-heat it. Its like a sulpher hot springs soak--in that MSM is dietary sulphur. It'll reduce swelling and pain, help that nerve bundle to not get inflamed. Would have been even more effective right away--we keep a bag in the kitchen for sprains, pulls, bruises, bugbites and stings, irritations of all sorts. If it gets red or hurts, put MSM on it. Wrist is much better, thank you! Of course, I probably re-injured it prying open wooden crates today.

Yes. My first HUGE shipment arrived today. OMG. I'm shell shocked. I've never seen so much glass. And tools... Geez. And my big ol' Paragon F-120 kiln with the cantilever door! Oh! And my Red Max torch! It looks SO wicked cool!

You guys would get a huge laugh watching me stand in the living room, staring dumbfounded at all the stuff in the foyer, which is where I would be standing except for the fact that it's FULL OF COOL STUFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am most humbly grateful, and will do my best to live up to the expectations of those who have such faith in my talent...

Can't wait to hear how you take to the Red Max! I'm living vicariously through you.

I'm sure you know this already, but DO be prepared for a learning curve. It took me a couple weeks to get used to the heat and power (well, that's how it feels, anyway) of my Mid-range.

Have fun!!!!
