Polyclay Joy!

I just had to announce that I am the proud owner of a Pasta Machine, blocks of new clay, and clay molds! Thank you everyone! Now to figure out how to use it, LOL. It looks easy in photo descriptions but I am sure I will be making more "mud" along with new beads.

Hey, make sure you take off the pieces you don't need! I took of two pieces from my pasta machine, and have figured out that I really ought to take off two more! LOL Check out the PCC site for a tutorial on cleaning the machine, and it'll tell ya what you need to take off.

And now the fun begins! You will have great fun experimenting, and dont worry about the mud - save it all up, there are LOADS of cool ways to use it. Nothing gets thrown away with claying.

The only clay I've ever had to toss is the clay that my kitty bats off the table and onto the floor. I usually find these loevely little gems by stepping on them the next morning--or noticing the lump of clay on the floor full of kitty teeth marks.

Carla said they don't come off (the linguini slicers) I remember saying how your clay "flopped over", so I will try some plastic wrap to cover it's rear end. But hey I can make skinner blend fettucini beads! I think I read that you use alcohol to clean stuff up?

I will post pics when I make some stuff that isn't too embarrassing to show off! I am still sanding everything stubbornly. I may have to give up on these first bunches of beads and move on with my now latex gloved hands. It's got to be easier to smooth the uncured clay! Or as Candice suggested, to use TEXTURE!
