RCB vibes really do work!

I just got off the phone with my sis, and the Horrible Siblings have actually made an offer for the ancestral home that is marginally above sneeringly low and in the acceptable range.

So, with any luck I'll be the un-owner of the big wooden white elephant on the island in a month or so! And Mike can have his new torch sooner than we hoped.

And I will never have to even talk to the HS again! Which suits me down to the ground.

So, thanks for all those RCB vibes that float around, I just know some of them washed over the HS and made them behave.

I'm so happy that you'll be rid of the beast, and that Mike can have the torch. Are you going to get him a little fridge for the SHED, too?

That is really too bad. I have great sibs, and would be so sad if I couldn't talk to them all the time. We have our moments (who doesn't?), but when things get tough, all any of us have to do is shout.

I'm just waiting for the other shoe to drop, but the offer DID come via their attorney, so I guess it's legitimate.

Fingers crossed, it would be a real boost to us what with Mike having been off work for so long.

Some people say a miracle is just timing. I am sending extra vibes~~~~~~that it all comes out in perfect time!

So Su, how did a good ole' midwestern girl get mixed up with an Englishman, a SHED, and a boat?

Fridges? Fridges? We don't need no .. um... hey, not a bad idea! We have a little propane-fired gas fridge on the boat that would work nicely under the counter. Hmmm..... since I get to have the kitchen redone, hmm....

Not in our family, the one HS was beyond nasty with some personal comments and has done everything possible to screw us out of anything it thought it could get away with.

Not a good idea. I said yes to the last offer simply because it made my skin crawl to think about going through this again and again and again. Once it's done, I'll be cutting the size of my family down to those who can actually swim in the deep end of the gene pool.

And, I'll buy myself a new camera! Then Mike's beads will look super good.

It's not sad for those of us who have to deal with such puke. I'm so glad I don't have to talk to my sister, too -- talking to her is what's *sad*. And disgusting. :-P Yecch. ~~ Sooz To live a creative life, we must lose our fear of being wrong. ~~Joseph Chilton Pearce

vibes~~~~~~that it

Thanks! I hope it works out too, the timing of a number of things seems to be colliding right now. I hope I survive the collision.

When I was in the throes of convincing my ex that I really meant it about him being an ex, I had an offer from friends in the UK to come and stay on their boat for a while and have a break. I said yes in about ten seconds flat since both of my girls were pretty much moved out or going away to college, so I came over, and spent six months on the boat, met Mike right before I was due to go back to the US. We spent a lot of time on the phone, and I came back over to see if I was really imagining things or were we a pair of middle-aged idiots.

Well, we're a pair of middle-aged idiots who decided we couldn't live without each other, and now we're both 51, our kidlet is 5 and our boat is

70' long. That's it in a nutshell. I swore I'd never marry again, as did Mike, but when I came back to the UK for that fatal visit, we really knew it was fate or something. Or else he realized that it was MY friends with the boat and he had to be nice to me if he wanted to live on the canals. Hmm....

Heck, I'll buy him a whole kettle! Of course, I'll miss his little tea breaks when he comes back on board and puts the kettle on. He's SO domesticated. All I have to do is make sure there's enough biscuits.

I think the shed itself will be like a little fridge in the winter. If you put a fridge in Mike will be outside. VBG Shirley

I know! The thing is I keep waiting for the sting in the tail but if they made legitimate offers via an attorney to our attorney they're serious. So... that means they're serious. I was euphoric earlier, now I'm on the other end of the scale and feel like crying because of all the pain we've gone through over this, so much of it unnecessary between family members.

I love it. I always think of a long gown with a hem that brushes the floor when I say that phrase.

Thanks for the happy thoughts, I'm full of good vibes tonight so I'm reflecting them out again to everyone else in the group that needs them.

What hurt the most was the callousness of the attitude of the HS. It was as if they were intent on being as nasty and mercenary as possible and squeeze every last penny out of the deal.

I really, really, really believe in karma and there's a lot of it going on here, and some people's karma account is going to be very empty. That's sad. Money isn't what matters, people are and some people just forget that.

Ah well, I am having a ball daydreaming about the things I will do with my pittance. Mike's top of the list, and my darling daughters. After that... who knows! The world's my mollusc-y thing.

Sometimes it doesn't happen. The scorpion's moving too fast, or you are (because of good karma) --- or the scorpion got SQUISHED. :-D

I KNOW. When I got my half of the beach house bought from me (by you-know-who), it was almost Kevin's birthday. I wanted to smother him with the best treats imaginable. I was so happy!! It was heaven! ~~ Sooz To live a creative life, we must lose our fear of being wrong. ~~Joseph Chilton Pearce
