Well, yeah, but having missed the conversation, a "wand" might be something off-the-wall that I'd never heard of. Some folks here talk about things of which I have no clue. Being a non-lampworker, I'm not hip to all the jargon, and no one ever answers my jargon-related questions. (I guess I'm just supposed to *know.*)
Just wanted to know what you guys mean when you say "wand." I know what I mean: a short, decorated, stick-like object used in Pagan rituals in place of an athame (ritual knife). It might means something else entirely to a non-Pagan. Maybe something esoteric/funky having to with melted glass.
::shrugs:: I dunno me. If you don't want me to play, I'll go away.
Well, who says it has to be seed beaded? Whoohoooooo! Polyclay wands with sculptures at the top! or Or lampworked knob at the top ... or fringey things.. or those fancy S crystals.. Diana, not committed.. not yet.
Um, no. Not all of us are lampworkers. I may be moving sky and earth to get a lampworker in the family but I'm just a beader.
It means something entirely different to me, as I'm non-denominational. It means a chance to put beads on something sticklike and send it to someone else for the fun of it.
I would answer your terminology questions, but I guess I never see them. They may be buried in threads that I don't get to... that might explain why you don't get answers; perhaps the right people aren't seeing the questions. I don't think anyone thinks you're just supposed to "know".
And I think Sooz misunderstood the reason you posted that link; I got the impression from her post that she thought you were suggesting that's what the wands should be, rather than asking for clarification that yes, this is what we mean by "wand".
