SWAP - Beaded wands

Good luck, sweetheart. I forget why you're going to the hospital, but I'm sending calming vibes to you anyway. :) love, Linda

Here's a virtual one to start with then!

*waves beribboned and beaded wand with crystals, hearts and gold spangles*

Best of luck tomorrow, Shirley! I'll be thinking of you.

Shirley, you don't need one. We're sending oodles of vibes, stronger than any magic wand, to you, the hospital and the doctor. We love you too much to let anything happen to you!

I'm sorry. I always thought it was well known what all the jargon stuff is. I try to answer questions, but I haven't been reading all the posts lately - way too much pain. If you ever come across a jargon related question, send me email at my AOL account: kathynv@ you know where.com

I'll help whenever I can. And I don't want you to go away - I like you too much!

P.S.: No clue about the wand and if it's a pagan thing or something fairy godmothers carry. I have to bow out on it anyway, because beading is really hard for me right now. feh.

Damn Su, you need to let that poor man out of the SHED. It sounds like you're getting very desperate. To me, a wand with batteries would be scary, and if it had those "Austrian Crystals" on it, I'd be terrified. Imagine going to the hospital with that kind of injury! :-0

I don't particularly want to swap, but I'll gladly share pictures of one DW made for my BeadWizard display

Thin brass rod, 18", brass bead soldered to the end as a stopper. Brass and glass beads slipped over the rod. The big "jewel" is an acrylic piece, with the pointy end where there was a horizontal hole cut off, then drilled to slip over end of rod. Now if I can figure out how to do all this over brass tube, so I can run wire up to an LED inside the crystal......

Maybe I'm just on a lot of punt lists. :-P

Just so -- and because I had never posted a picture of the wand.

Me...just not in the very near term. If we're looking at closer to the beginning of November to mail, I could do it.

Nice wand Arondelle!

And yes that's the type we are talking about. I'll leave the actual interpretation to each participant.

I tend to favor stars on top - but that crystal.......

hey now - stop that. Actually the only swap I've participated in I felt the same way - I bet lots of us do.

Now play dammit.

yes well I'm still trying to figure out how to do one since I don't do any beadweaving at all. Ya know a mandrel with a really pretty bead on it looks like a wand :)
