SWAP - Beaded wands

I am interested in the glass talk, actually. I misspoke. But I don't go too far into it -- all the chat about rods, COEs, etc. is something I scan but do not study extensively, because I can't use the info beyond appreciating the art form.

This is why it can bore me.

If you want to know about a term someone uses here, use google:

Or you can always ask a question here, and then feel bad because no one answers. (I use google, myself, because I'm sensitive to rejection.) I'm killer at Trivial Pursuit too.

I'm considering it........You will need to have a cut-off date for entering the swap, so people don't keep joining up until the last moment. ~~ Sooz To live a creative life, we must lose our fear of being wrong. ~~Joseph Chilton Pearce

Oy! That takes me back quite a bit. :o)

(A while? I'd say so: born in Cambridge, MA, grew up in Natick and Carlisle, MA, and only moved to NH in 1984. The only time I spent outside New England was two years of college in Ripon, WI.)

WBCN changed their format shortly before they started playing Michegas, and I had stopped listening on a regular basis. Charles Laquidera (?) was/is a zoid. Sometimes it would be on someone's radio at work, however, and we'd yell answers at it. I was frequently correct. =:-o

to play I have to have an email by Thursday the 30th. Then I'll do a email list so I don;t bog down rcb with the details.

I WISH I could participate - but I have a private show on Nov. 12th that I have to get ready for, so I don't have time/resources for swaps or anything until after. :( This sounds like a wonderful idea - I love it, but I would need more time. This is the time of year which is the most busy for me business-wise, so extra stuff has to wait. Love you guys, though!!

Are we going to have swap partners for this? So we can personalize the wand?

I understand. maybe if this one goes well we can do another one in the spring.

I was thinking of this way - I'll have a list of all names and all names in a hat. Say my list of participants are A, B and C. I choose C out of the hat for A to make a wand for (that way A can personalize the wand for C). I'll go to the next name on the list (B) and pull out a name for B to make a wand for - it's "A" etc. That way you can personalize the wand for your recipient, but there's also an element of surprise for what you receive.
