SWAP - Beaded wands

How about this?

The beaded wand can be anything you want it to be -- any size, any look -- as long as it has at least one bead in its composition. What do you think? ~~ Sooz To live a creative life, we must lose our fear of being wrong. ~~Joseph Chilton Pearce

*grins* I gotta throw this bone in here. If you use a hollow wand and ran a ribbon or something similiar up the inside of it, would that make the wand itself the bead? And would that count? hehehehehe

Ok seems there is interest in this swap.

So - please EMAIL me (reply works) by Thursday the 30th if you want to participate.

I don't want to run into holiday stuff, so how is the beginning of Nov. for a deadline?

Everyone that signs up will make 1 (one) wand and send it out and will receive one wand in return from another participant.

Once I get the participant list I'll use email to let y'all know the details etc.

I think htis will be lots of fun - can't wait to see what everyone comes up with!!

No no no! You misread me. I was just continuing the discussion of "What are the wands supposed to look like?" ~~ Sooz To live a creative life, we must lose our fear of being wrong. ~~Joseph Chilton Pearce

No, I'm joking......Stephanie, please don't let fear keep you from participating! Don't worry about what others might think. Think about what fun you'll have, and the things you could learn! ~~ Sooz To live a creative life, we must lose our fear of being wrong. ~~Joseph Chilton Pearce

Yeah -- and I just ignore the technical jargon conversations the lampworkers have. I don't need to know that stuff, and I don't even care to know that stuff, and it bores me anyway. ~~ Sooz To live a creative life, we must lose our fear of being wrong. ~~Joseph Chilton Pearce

It is highly unlikely -- for a multitude of reasons -- that I will ever be able to do lampwork myself. I am, however, fascinated by all forms of glasswork.

I am also a "Facts Curator," a collector of facts and useless bits of information, sort of a walking Encyclopedia Nonsensica. One never knows when an otherwise unrelated factoid might be a life saver. I'm also a killer at Trivial Pursuit.

I am having fun already thinking of how I will make my wand! This is a great swap idea. What if I make such a cool wand I don't want to give it away? hahaha! (just kidding).

Arondelle, you've been in the area a while. Did you ever play Michegas on the old WBCN? Bob signed me up for my birthday a long time ago, and I won. A whole cartload of sporting paraphernlia and pro wrestling tickets. (So appropriate for the totally sports-useless woman) But I had a great start to my Christmas list that year.
