< Very pretty rock and I do love them all! The problem with this type of rock I would need a rock saw and a lapping machine and now you are talking major bucks! lol This is the type of rock you do not want to break up and tumble. All thought... it would be very pretty. :) I wonder if your distant realative might have some smaller pieces, ( size of small eggs or close), that he might have laying around and wants to get rid of? My rule of thumb for rocks are: If it's pretty wet, it will be beautiful tumbled. :)

Also is there a certain amount of the same type of rock that you have to have in order for you yourself to work with? like pounds or something? or can it just be a little bit?

No offense to anyone, and the seller admits he really doesn't know much about the rock... but it really isn't worth anything more than the time it takes to pick it up. It is quite pretty, but, as a rock collector, I have many rocks of that type that I just picked up off the ground in southern states.
