Wow, I've missed this place! Thanks to Sooz for prodding me to come back! How is everyone?
Making Christmas gifts the last few months of '03 (soaps/toiletries) meant laying off the beads completely in order to focus on getting all the gifts done. Which meant not reading RCB because it was proving too distracting! *lol*
Since re-starting beading I've done a big ol' caterpillar bracelet - my first! - which was fun; I finally got to try Spiderwire Fusion, (sadly they had only the green and only 10# test, and neither of even those in the Fireline) and it is BRILLIANT! No tangles, no stretching, no fraying. Threads through size 12 needles with a little squish of the pliers at the end, and is all-around easy to work with. I really need to get something smaller, like 6# or 4#, to do the more intensive weaving. And thanks to KathyNV for the children's Fiskar's tip, they work perfectly!
So what have I missed? How have things been with everyone? Any big new developments in the beading world?
