It's exploiting people's insecurity, IMO.

And I want to learn to cut screw-threads in wire. How do your tap-and-dies work, Kathy? Is something a neophyte could do without instruction?

Simple, simple, simple. I got mine from either a plumbing supply place or an electrical supply place, and I've had them forever. You simply pick the appropriate tap or die (I can never remember which is which) and start screwing the wire into it. It cuts the threads and you're done.

One is for inside threads and the other for outside threads, and it's a very handy tool to have.

For stuff like this, a normal hardware store is great. Tell them what you want, and ask them to teach you. I've never been refused, and I learn what I need in just a few moments.

BTW, Manda tells me that she now NEEDS the bracelet in question. I'll make one and post a photo -- after I get the stuff from Monsterslayer.

Ask her if she needs groceries, electricity, etc. Then ask her again if she NEEDS the bracelet. That always puts things in perspective for my hubby. I usually say I would like to have or I would like.....

I ought to make one to make my SIL crazy. If she saw me wearing the same "very special" bracelet and if I told her I made it for $5, she'd lose her flipping mind. hehehehe>>>

OH PLEASE - do it.... ROTFL

I doubt they have the bracelet copyrighted. But they might have the

*certificate* copyrighted .

It's marketing hype, pure and simple, for the pure and simple. Especially simple.

That must be the reason it's called a "screwball" bracelet!

< Funny how you can learn from the past. What I learned from this post: " 2. Pools with chlorine will darken silver" I never knew that!
