Juanita -- I've said it several times and I am going to say it again. You make good jewelry, sweetness. I know because I have purchased several pieces of it, and I know good stuff when I see it. Not every beadmaker can also make jewelry. There are some who I want to say this to their faces, LOL. QUIT NOW and just make beads! You are not one of those. I think your jewelry is lovely and I always have.

May I make a suggestion or two about your images? I took your image above into PSP...it was at 200 dpi...there is no need for that on the web. I agree with scanning at 200 but you can then reduce it down to 72 which is what the home monitor will view it at anyway. So, I reduced the dpi to 72, then I reduced the actual size to 1/2. Then I brightened the image a bit and adjusted the contrast. Then I sharpened it and then I compressed the .jpg so that the final image is down to under 100K

I think it flatters your beads more this way. Also, I have a cable hook-up and things load quickly for me, but remember that more than 50% of folks on the net still have a modem connection...large images like that can take forever to load for them...and then they need to scroll all over the place to see the entire image. You know I love you Juanita...I have known you for years and years...I only want to see you suceed. I think paying more attention to your images, both when you are teasing us with our losses, and for your auction listings will pay off for you in the end.

Beki,

There is a common misbelief in your reply. Monitors do not use dpi (dots per inch), printers do. Monitors are set for ppi (pixels per inch) and that depends on the system's settings. Reducing the picture is a good idea because only about 20% of all web users are on broadband. (Or at least that was the number I heard the other day.) Most people will give a site 10 seconds, after that - they are out of there on onto something else. The advice on editing her photos is excellent though.
