Lollipop update

All I want to know is if you actually got third degree burns, and if you are okay or not!?

No I do not have third degree burns tonight. It was the other night I was in such a glass mess. Some days are good and some are not good. The good days are much more common.

I finally conquered the lollipop on the first try tonight and on every one afterwards so far.

Okay, I'm confuzzled--did you post this "list" tonight, or a different night? Because I just got it.

Yep, some days it pays to quit! Been there!

On days like that, I submit to the Glass Gods who are telling me to give it up and I walk away.

Aw sweetie, I'm so sorry! That was me about 2 weeks ago. The good news is, you'll recover and end up having an awesome day in return. It just sucks while it's happening, though.

Now I know why, even though I love lampwork, I plan only to purchase it.

Oh, Goddess, time to step away! I've had several of those days lately, which usually end up having me screech with frustration whilst chucking a mandrel at the window and saying "Fine! I'll stop now, JEEZ!". LOL. Sometimes the Gods love to tell me in no uncertain terms that I should be resting instead of working. A friend of mine calls that the cosmic bitch slap.

I hate those days! The thing is though...it's miraculously different the next time you sit down at the torch.

Go figure.

For me, it's the moment when I whiff the aroma of yet another burn and think to myself, "Hey, I smell kinda tasty"... that's when I know I need to throw in the towel.

I was thinking to myself, "How did she do that?" Then I remembered that most folks use glasses instead of a shield. Nothing ever hits me in the face/neck area anymore.
