New beadwork web site

Oct 30, 2006 2 Replies

Hello, I have recently set up a UK based web site selling counted beadwork card making kits. I only started doing counted beadwork a year ago but loved it so much that I soon had loads of designs for all different occasions. It was suggested to me that they would make great craft kits so I had a go at putting some together. I was so pleased with them that I asked a local craft shop if they would like to stock some, they bought sixty kits of me which are selling really well. Unfortunately my web site is not doing so well in the UK. What I would like to know is, would it be worth me opening it up to other countries and has anyone got any tips on selling abroad.

You can visit my site to view all my designs at

I'm sure someone will tell you to please put AD in front of you sub line...

I think the kits are lovely.... It's relatively easy selling overseas using PayPal...

If you did sell in the US, approx how much in $US would the kits cost? And the postage?

I know Global Priority mail from the US is $5 for a small envelope, but you probably could get several kits in each one - which would be an incentive for me to buy multiples!!!

TIA

I would add some closeups of the cards. It gives the user a good look and an idea of what they would be doing.
