Oh, watch out for that little bug! Once he gets his teeth in you, there's no turning back, LOL. I hadn't touched a bead in years, and then, one day while innocently browsing eBay, I came across a pendant (M-Verdi was the seller, I believe). It was like nothing I'd ever seen before. Well, from there it was just a hop and a skip to "View Category", and the end of my life as I knew it! LOL Well, maybe not that drastic, but....YEAH! It WAS! ;o)
Unfortunately, I had to waste a lot of money on crapola lampwork before I realized that they are not all made alike. I thought the people paying $10-20 for ONE BEAD were absolutely nuts--after all, *I* was getting a half POUND of beads for less! ;o)
I'm happy you have started out with such great standards, and are better "educated" than I was, Harry! :o)

Yes, tell me about it! All of your links to eyecandy has sucked me in. I won my first auction for lampwork beads last week (2 auctions actually) and now I'm a kid in a candy store...I just can't get enough of these beautiful colors!!! I just show DH the beautiful handcrafted beads, but I don't tell him how much they are ;-)
