organizing pictures

Got this from another newsgroup I am on...

If you have a digital camera with lots of photos and need some organization you might try Picaso. Google acquired it this summer and is now offering it for free. It used to be $29 but now it is free.... what a deal! You can search on all sorts of items and easily re-arrange your albums. Check it out, you can't beat the price!

Does anyone use this program? I need something better to store my photos on than what I already have.

I downloaded it but didn't like it as much as I thought I would. I have used ThumbsPlus for years and years and love it. I got my first version from CompuServe back when I was active on there, and have never used anything else since.

It does thumbnails, converts pictures from one format to another instantly, manages albums, can do a catalogue of every graphic on your computer and well.... I just think it's the best.

That's because it's not a picture editor, it's a program for cataloguing your images. I wouldn't expect PhotoShop to do the job that Thumbs+ does or the reverse. Each program does what it says on the label.
