Oscar Night - beaders' delight

Hi, During the red carpet interviews, I always watch for the best jewelry and the best and worst dresses. Please join me and post your choices tomorrow, if you like. I'm not a diamond gal, so usually I imagine what kind of colored gem necklace I would design instead of the heavy diamond look so please contribute your alternate choices as well. The other thing that always amazes me about the Oscars, is how unkempt some of the stars' hair is - it looks more like they were going to the beach. So, maybe a best hair and worst hair category? The jewelers that the stars go to for borrowed gems were showing heavily colored jewels this year....chocolate diamonds, rubies, blue diamonds, etc. So you may find more to enjoy.

I'm gunning for Keisha Castle-Hughes.. I saw her flax dress at some other award doo and I'm wondering what she is going to wear to the Oscars.. A brilliant NZ actress in the making... All power to her, I reckon..

Oscar night pics in fashion & Jewelry -- Best dressed - Renee Zwellwinger Best use of color in dress: Scarlett Johannsen, 2nd Jennifer Garner Best movie star walk: Patricia Clarkson Best necklace: Angelina Jolie Best earrings - Charlize Theron Worst dressed - Diane Keaton (looked more like Buster Keaton), Uma Thurman Runner-ups for Best dresses: Susan Sarandon, Catherine Zeta Jones (though I thought she should have worn a necklace) Worst hair: Peter Jackson (no contest) Best hair: Renee Zellwenger, Susan Sarandon. I totally agree, except for Diane Keaton. You have to consider the source -- she's not in the running for any-dressed. She's Diane Keaton!
