OT: A Google Apps annoyance.

Oct 19, 2008 3 Replies

Doggoneit! I host my website via Google Apps. Today I noticed my images would not display. When I clicked on the link to enlarge the image I got an error saying my site had exceeded the allowed bandwidth or page view limit. ARgh!

I did some Googling and discovered that Google does have a limit on the Google App pages, but they won't disclose what the limit is! Since the error is a little vague, I'm not sure if the problem is with bandwidth or the number of pages. This means I don't know if I should edit my images to reduce their size or if I should remove the option to enlarge all together (thus reducing page views). Gosh.. just when I think I have it all figured out.

I just checked your website and it is absolutely fine. This is at 8:44 pm New York Time. (EST) I assume you got it sorted out.

Damn!! Just went back to check something and yes, your pictures have mostly disappeared....just the descriptions now. Hmm, if I go back again, will those disappear too?? (G) Perhaps the pics were stored on my machine for a one time look.

Good luck.....Heather

Wouldn't you know, tonight I COULD See everything. Love the simple elegance of your basic designs. I think my fav is #100, I've always adored rhodocrosite.
