We've had very cold weather for the last 10 days. My car is frozen. The water and sewer froze twice. The second time, we replaced the heat tape on the water pipe. I think we burned a cord of wood, easily in two weeks. Our neighbor reported 45 below F a couple days ago.
Today again we put off going to town. The day is sunny and beautiful, and 6
1/2 hours long. But they're reporting 47 below in town today.Still we'd better go in to town tomorrow. There's banking and other business to do, even though we are fully supplied for food, heat, etc. But the cold is expected to hang in here still, at least until over the week-end. It might "warm up a little" next week, and get up to minus 35F!
Pete talked to his sister in Wisc, where it was 45. Almost 100 degrees warmer than here!
I am warm in my polar fleece shirt and shearling slippers (and jeans). My beads are warm too.
