I have been achy and had a very low fever for the past few days. I decided to stay home today, pay some bills, watch reruns and bead.
My daughter had her birthday party Friday night from 5:30 till 10:00. She had 7 close friends over. They ate, went to the park and rolled down the hill??? As if 15 year olds are not dizzy enough! And just generally hung out. It went very well, so I was happy for her. My husband and I just stayed upstairs and let them do their thing downstairs. It was a group that potentially could have had some tiffs. Some very strong personalities. I was glad they all managed to enjoy each others company. Their one planned activity was the "Ann Trivia" quiz. I sat in on that, because I knew it would be a hoot. My daughters last trivia question was (and she said it with a straight face) "What makes Ann so wonderful?" LOL! They all actually answered this, some funny and some sincere.
Saturday I worked at the artisit Co-op I belong to. My husband worked with me. If we both work, even tho he is not an artist showing his work there, we get credit for both of our hours. We had a nice peaceful time. He draws, so that is what he did, and I made 4 necklaces (well, 2 onf them just needed to be finished with clasps, crimps, etc.) His drawing is phenominal. I will post a link tonight so you can see a sample.
Oh, I have to tell you this really cool thing my daughter said. She was taking a walk over to a friends house. And I (kiddingly) said, "You're not going like that are you?" (she had on this old dumpy shirt, etc.) "What if you run into the man of your dreams?" And she said "Well, if he's the man of my dreams he won't really care about stuff like that will he?" Damn! I am still not that secure. She is so able to maintain her sense of self with others. I love it.
Yesterday I read "Tuesdays with Morrie". Nice book.
So, like the comics say "I'll be here all day, folks". Well, they would say all week, but I don't think I will stay home sick all week.
