One of my best friends says it's amazing that they'll let me foster with all the abuse I put my animals through!

No, but I think Spike may have been a little jealous! I couldn't tell if it was that or if he was relieved that I'd found someone else to humiliate!

Bea's gotten a raw deal, but she's the easiest foster I've ever had, quiet, calm, well behaved and even has had obedience training. She was returned to the shelter after 4 years because the couple who'd had her was going to have a baby. (I could just shoot some people.) They'd really neglected her and quit giving her her thyroid medicine and she gained 40 lbs. She's lost about 30 of it. She'll be perfect for someone who wants to skip the obnoxious puppy stage!

People can be such butts. I am glad there are foster parents like you :) Bea looks so cute with her antlers. Spike is probably a little jealous and a little relieved... I am constantly amazed by how good a foster sibling Spike is!

Good for you! It breaks my heart that someone would neglect such a sweetheart of a doggy!

He does get a little jealous sometimes. I'm really careful about how much I let them together at first. Partly, so there's no trouble, but partly to see how much I can trust the foster as far as being housebroken and chewing. Usually the foster dog starts out in the laundry room, but it's a pretty big room and right by the kitchen, and they get a lot of attention there. With the gate up, they can see us in the house.

Somebody's going to be lucky to get her! She's such an easy dog to have around. She's just a wonderful companion.

??? returned her because they were going to have a baby? You'd think they'd be ecstatic to have a great dog like that around witha child in the house!

I couldn't figure out why my Nikko was taken to the shelter. Beautiful dog, loving, well-mannered, practically trains himself. Then we realized that he's mostly blind, and it made me wonder if someone just couldn't handle having an "imperfect" dog.

Some people.

As for skipp> No, but I think Spike may have been a little jealous! I couldn't tell if it
