Lovely, I do love 'happenings'!

It cheered me up too - I am a very organised person - lots of lists and I like to know exactly what I am doing when I have guests so everything goes smoothly. However SisIL is coming for the holiday and appears to have taken over the organising of food for the event in a big way. She bought all the fruit and vegetables, including salad last week (what state will they be in by Sunday), and told me what we will be eating and when and the various meals she will be bringing. As well as the turkey I have be allocated buying Brussels Sprouts and cream! My organised brain is now in a complete spin! (She is not the sort of person you can explain the problem to - would definitely throw a wobbley). Perhaps I should try to remember what I learned in the Assertiveness Class I did

20 years ago! It should only be a minor irritation really, and I know she is only trying to help, but this take-over is causing stress and taking away the pleasure of being the hostess.
