Happy Thanksgiving to you and to the newsgroup.. DH and I are heading out to eat, then home to watch some football. No cooking for us.

Up to this minute, my only supervising cooking duty has been one phone call from 'afar'. The question - why do my eggwhites just sit there and look runny? I asked - Was there the least bit of oil or egg yolk in the bowl or beaters? Did you beat them to a soft peak before adding any sugar? The answer - Was I supposed to beat the egg whites? Polly ( who does cooking advice by phone but sometimes may be too late. )

I'm doubtful you can be enough help for that one! We are cooking turkey Sunday when the emergency kids can be here. Hopefully someone will toss a turkey leg their way while they work today. We are just doing a nice dinner here with dd. DH has lost his mind and decided to get the new fake tree out to test. I just shook my head and told him to go for it if that makes him happy. I am headed to the sewing room and looking forward to a no sitting in traffic day. Happy Thanksgiving to all. Yep, you are right butterfly.
