Thank you. Told DD I was going to celebrate almost all month--then its DS's turn until it's her turn-so we will have 2 entire months of celebrating. How about a piece of German Chocolate with Milk Chocolate frosting. (Can't have the nuts for the 'normal' frosting but I did have a bitsy bit of CHOCOLATE :) So far so good, on the Studio. Got the go-ahead for the next step today as the insulation passed. Now the drywall goes up and and and Had the same inspector and he said he would 'hurry' the steps as he wants me to 'mend his jeans' ......his FAV jeans...then he acquiesced that they were beyond repair...I didn't ask nor did I volunteer to 'fix em.

We have celebrated your birthday in grand style. I needed a chocolate cake to bribe . . . (er, umm 'encourage') help to get my king-size waterbed Heart Strings quilt top sections together. Wow! what a lovely cake. The recipe called for 3 whole eggs. Naturally, being a heart-healthy maniac, I didn't do that. I substituted a baby food size container of applesauce for two of the yolks and used apple juice for half of the water. Had no idea that it would be edible but DH would give a cake made with tractor tires a fair test so I felt safe to experiment. So! Happy Birthday to you - we hoist our forks in your honor. Polly

Thank you. it is just sooooooooooooooooo good to be able to HAVE chocolate cake once again:) even the guys are happy for me:) Yes, there's some left if'n you wanna come .even some ice cream (no I didn't push it--figured the chocolate cake with milk chocolate frosting was enuf:) DS gave me a Weather Station that has a vane that looks like a 'plane body' and upon closer perusal you can either have it on your compie or TV. And we went out to an Italian restuarant and tehy were very 'careful' with my order---told them we would be back:) This was our 2nd time there. Nice enuf place to take company to. They know how to treat customers:) DH gave me $ and N0T 55 nickles either :) Told him I would "NOT" be spending it at the Casino...but I am getting EQ 6.((Any of you buy it online? Where did you get it? Was the box in ONE piece and not smashed up when it arrived?)) The rest will be set aside until the Butterfly Studio is finished--then I'll see what else is needed (safety pins and more needles for sure). I will have to get a new design wall fabric. Don't think I'll get the 'lined fabric' like I had before as the blocks don't 'cling' to it. I need something that can be pulled up/down without loosing the blocks.I will have a goodly 120" width. Any good hints from ANY of you gals? Please email me directly as the ISP is 'having problems right now' cause of the recent rains :( Thanks

Thank you. Pain level is down.

Been having quite a time adjusting to the lower Pred level.....down to 2.5 MG now. Back procedure has really worked better than I anticipated... NOT in the C O N S T A N T pain there. Altho it still does hurt sometimes--so far I haven't quite figured out what I'm doing 'wrong' or if it's just the healing process.

I can TOUCH MY TOES!!!!!!!!!!!!. albeit I'm not allowed to do it on a daily basis yet. Just once a week to see how much I've improved if at all. I was SHOCKED and sooooo sooooooooo happy! Still not able to 'bend back' but that's ok for now. Said it takes a good 3 months to 'see' what all would change. Thanks for asking

Cake substitutes: I leave out the yolks, add one extra egg white; applesauce instead of oil/butter/fat in the CAKE batter. Haven't lost a Birthday Cake or Party-er yet.

So, Pol, did the "encouragment" work? for the quilt? ;->

I have to be careful with the amount of chocolate and caffeine because it sometime causes migraines, but YES some chocolate is definitely called for! Barbara in Central FL===land of tornados

Nope, Sandy. The chocolate cake didn't work. I suppose it would have but I am just tired out of my mind of that quilt and had to walk away from it. I needed a break. For sure, finished is good but finished nicely is better and that big rascal will just have to wait until I rest a bit. The long-armer can't get to it until October so it's not like there's any kind of hurry. Polly
