Quiet day, started out with an early morning looonnng walk to the park and around and back. Had to get that done before the heat and mugginess. Yeah for the mugginess, we have several wild-fires around in the back country here. Inaccessible terrain/40 yrs of growth/ drought conditions are fueling these.

Butterfly (they threatened rain here yesterday and all we got was blowing sand. Said our dewpoint has to be 55% for 3 days to consider us in the monsoon )

Today I start my 55th year. With all the things going on in my life right now, this will be a special year. I have decided to do a quilt piece that will celebrate maiden/mother/crone. I know the colors, even have the fabrics, need to decide a pattern.

Point taken. Had an unwanted phone call this AM. Our fence contractor is having open heart surgery as I write this for 5 arteries(?).((his wife was pretty shaken)) he's 63, thin as a rail, hauls cement blocks like no tomorrow, smokes like a chimney (except when working)..and was taking care of his high cholesterol. Had retired but couldn't just stay home. ONLY reason I write this is: So much for exercise, eating right, etc etc etc.
