Playing with new glass... Ruby and Gold Beads

There are 9 lampworked beads in the set, ten Bali silver beads, two sterling endcaps and a sterling toggle clasp. For the Buy It Now price, even if you don't count the sterling and Bali, that's about $5.55 per lampwork bead. One focal, and the other eight are matched pairs.

This is one of my favorite kinds of beads to do. It's like I go wayyyy deep inside the glass when I'm making them. I love it!

Have you tried rubino over gold leaf? I need to get some gold leaf because I'm very curious about what one could do with that combination, and how it might look with the silver reaction if you threw that in the mix?

I'm thinking:

light amethyst base bead silver leaf (burn off) gold leaf - heat until distorted & fissured rubino dots.

I gotta get some gold leaf.
