Playing with new glass... Ruby and Gold Beads

I am really falling in love with Bullseye glass! It's consistent, it's pretty, the transparents are like crystal! And it's made in the US. Oh, and perhaps best of all, you get to deal directly with the manufacturer!

Here's a little experiment with Transparent Ruby, 24 KT gold leaf, Swarovski crystals and 14KT GF findings. It's just a little set, but I think it makes a statement!

Holy Sh*t! Those were the very first words out of my mouth when I looked at those beads Tink. Those are wonderful. Keep up the wonderful work.

It looks a lot like some Bohemian art glass I bought right after the borders opened up in 1989. Tink, it's lovely -- you can be very proud.

]I prefer silver, myself, but this deep blood/ruby red called out for gold. I ]think I have an equally lush deep green that I'll use for a set, too. And ]time to play with silver, as well.

WANT WANT WANT!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tink - That is gorgeous! I saw it at WC and then saw your name. I was thinking to myself "go figure it's one of may favorite ladies."

I haven't made much with the Bullseye Kalera sent to me, but the stuff I've used is beautiful. I'll post photos later.

How is it pricewise compared to the others?

I can't wait to get my Bullseye shipment!<

You're gonna have SO much fun with the Bullseye! I love the crayon-box colors and the delicate transparent pastels. Once I have room to store more glass, I'm going to do one of those stocking orders, too. In the meantime I play with it when I can. I like that it's stiffer then Moretti...I find myself making much smaller, more delicate beads with Bullseye. Weird, cuz I feel so hamfisted with boro. Go figure!

Have fun, Tink!

It seems to be a bit more than most of the Effetre colors, though some of those are coming in at prices much higher than Bullseye. You can't beat the Bullseye Initial Rod Stocking Order deal, for those who are wondering. It's awesome.

My studio assistant begins work tomorrow! Yay!!!!!!!!! Donna is terrific, and I just know she is going to be a huge help to me. In the meantime, I've posted a couple of things on eBay. I'm never sure how large or small to make my pictures, as I'm on a large, high-resolution screen and I know not everyone is. I'd love your feedback so that I can make my listings as nice as possible!

The first two listings on the page are my latest layout.

Thanks for looking!

I thought of you when I was working on the set. Puts me in mind of the bead I made that you turned into a dreamcatcher for me... It hangs in my studio, and I love it!
