Mill Hill gold beads - durability?

I recently bought a few packets of Mill Hill gold beads to use as spacer and/or accent beads.

I've never used these before. How resistant is the coating to "normal wear and tear" and physical and chemical "punishment"?

I know some of the Czech metallic beads have coatings that wil rub off pretty easily, especially those ones with the "rough texture".

Anyone? TIA

Posting for a lurker friend who doesn't post on the group but still would like to help:

the answer is mill hill beads are fairly delicate and coatings will wear off - especially the lined colors! just like delicas...so disappointing to spend so much time making something, only to have the linings wear out and have your wire/thread show. galvanized delicas such as gold, copper etc. hold up nicely. would never think of exposing any beads to harsh chemicals.

Neither would I, but I was thinking along the lines of "worst case scenario".

Thanks for your insights. :) I might go hunting for delicas...
