Do not. I don't collect baseball cards.

Well, I *do* have a Pete Rose rookie card.... But that's not *really* a collection, right?

Not sure if this will fit in the context of this post, but Trinkett has about 80 beanie babies. She doesn't tear them up and she loves them all. We also have the tiny beanies and Mc D's Pooh collection. Piglet is her favorite.

Cats (used to be real ones, but we're down to one now), quilts, beads, fabrics, anything to do with the ocean or that has a nautical theme (seahorses are included there...lol), old tea things...cups, saucers, linens, pots, sugar and creamer bowls, tongs, small spoons, etc....

I"m sure there's more, but i can't think of anything else off the top of my head.

Dragons (no kidding, huh? Everyone is doing fine today.)

Wizards (the goofier, the better) GARGOYLES (I believe in the protective power of the ugly critters!) Fairies (Not my idea, but I seem to have attracted quite a flock, anyway.) (NO unicorns. Never. No way. Uh, uh. Get that thing away from me...) Goddess figures (assorted, one for any and every occasion) Cat figurines (::sigh::) "Celestial" stuff (suns, moons and stars) D&D dice (can never have too many dice) Quilting fabric (cut in "fat quarters") Calculators (no wonder I can't add in my head) Swarovski crystals (The *big* ones meant to hang from chandeliers.) Glass paperweights (expensive hobby, not frequently indulged) Barbies (ethnic) Beanie Babies (I cut the ear tags OFF, though. Heh, heh, heh.) Halloween tchatchky junk with Spam logos on it. (Yum!) Tupperware (to keep my spam in)

and, of course, BEADS!

Oh, yeah... and DUST, Lots of dust. It's a protective covering for furniture, don't ya know.

Polymer clay beads and lampwork beads, of course. I also collect tools especially hand tools and that would include scissors, pens and pencils. AND bags/totes of all types and stripes. I'm the prototype for the "bag lady" or would that be archetype? o_O

Heh. I've got one unicorn print I bet you'd like. Scene: a *real* unicorn, more goat than horse, bearded, and very weatherbeaten, standing outside the window of Ye Olde Gifte Shoppe. Inside the window is every kind of "My Little Pony" style unicorn ever made -- dolls, jigsaw puzzles, suncatchers, paperweights, posters, you name it. Caption: "ONE MORE bouncy-wouncy, fuzzy-wuzzy, cutesy-wootsy little unicorn, and I'm gonna run somebody through!"

Less than I used to! When I was a kid, I had all kinds of trinket collections: marbles, buttons, toy horses, plastic models, even kite string found on the ground, and lots that I've long since forgotten.

Now I mostly collect books (SF&F, mysteries, Regency romance) and SF/fantasy art. I have a small collection of lampwork critters, most of them by Steve Scherer, and another small collection of stone eggs. A few stuffed animals, though that's never been a huge interest. A lot of filk music! Some comics and graphic novels (Omaha the Cat Dancer, Stinz, Camelot 3000, Elfquest, Desert Peach, A Different Soil). A small selection of Canadian money -- if I happen to encounter some here, I keep it; it's the "found" aspect that makes this fun.

The thing is, now I don't think of most of this stuff as "collections". It's just stuff that I like and tend to accumulate -- I don't go looking for it everywhere, and I don't have to have every example of it that I run across. I pick and choose the items I want.

Oh, and the toy horses got passed on to another friend with a collection when I moved down here. They hadn't been on display for 20 years, and there wasn't going to be room to display them here either, so I gave them to someone who would love them and put them on display and enjoy them.

Well, I don't really have much in the way of room or funding to collect much. I do keep a collection of various crocheted, knitted and tatted doilies and similar items, but I made at least 1/3 of them. I like the look. Other than that there are my books, both religious and sci fi and various patterns of things to make that caught my eye at some time or other. I guess I'm depraved enough to not really collect stuff, huh?

hmmnnn... beads of course, childrens books, all kinds of books actually... original art, wine, african masks, cowboy boots (not really a collection thing, just I have enough to classify as a collection), I have a collection of old cameras, not that I collect them...dinner dishes... I'm sure I could think of more if I put my mind to it. I've spent the last 4 days throwing "stuff" away and trying to simplify my life if that tells you anything about me.
