Karleen, you're so right ... I don't read a lot of unmoderated groups these days, so I don't know whether they do this everywhere, but I know the spam in my gmail account has exploded as well (luckily, it goes in the spam folder). Aloha, Maren HiloBeads: Beads - Bead

I don't remember seeing this much spam even last year when I started HiloBeads - and did a lot of posting because I had a lot of questions, so I was here all the time.

And, we used to have more posts, bead posts as well as OT community posts.

(Just noticing that Google has changed my posting address to the hilobeads one, and I have noticed that I;m getting more spam on that account too - but they're really good at filtering, all the bead related posts including ads (which I don't mind) are going into my Inbox, and the spam in the spam folder.)
