I went to a store this weekend that had swarovski on bracelets (the Gift Center in SF...one of their stores...OMG!). I found out that I actually got "gyped" on the cosmo jet (paid 12.5cents each, I think, for the crystals, and I think it's around 11.5cents at ROL, but all of the others were great! but I can't find my notes right now...).
One of the kind that I found, I cannot find it on ROL, Merchant Overseas, or Whimbeads, and so I am wondering if I got Swarovskis or not. It is a grey (I think Black Diamond), shaped like cupcakes. The "frosting" of the cupcakes is matted. There was an accident bead, a 6mm round, on the strand, so I am fairly sure it is Swarovski (and they said everything on the wall was Swarovski, but that doesn't mean this didn't get moved over).
It seems to have the same weight and feel, and the cuts seem to be the same. Of course, this is to someone who hasn't had a lot of experience with them...
If anyone can give me information, I would appreciate it.
Thinking of going back sometime...22 10mm round beads, 1/2 black diamond,
1/2 topaz AB (I think...one of the brownish colors), for $5. Of course, that's if you buy 12 of similar strands...or 42 jonquil AB 4mm cubes for $5.
