Wooden eggs? Where to buy?

Apr 01, 2004 5 Replies

In the current (April) issue of _Beads & Buttons_ on page 103 there's an article called _Spiral Treasures_. It uses 2 1/2 by 1

3/4" flat-bottomed wooden eggs, which are decorated with a net of beads. The result is quite attractive.

Anyone have any idea where the base wooden eggs of about this size can be purchased? Michaels? If so, which department? Otherwise...?

Maybe the kit offered at the end of the article? Anyone buy one of these? What did you think? How much?

TIA

Ken

I bought some last year at Michaels', painted them with acrylic paint in an off-white/eggshell finish, and used a foam brush. They worked great and look terrific when beaded.

take care, Linda :)
