hello, I make reproduction military items from world war 2 as a little side project on the weekends. I wish to make some of the insignia, but hand embroidering doesn't always work. so here are a few questions:
- how much to embroidery machines cost on average(new or used)?
- how do they work? I've heard that the new one's "scan" a picture and sew the pattern.
- do you have to choose the way of stiching(ex. diagonal, up/down, etc.), or does the machine decide the best route(this is if #2 is true).
- are the machines reliable, or do they brake down on a regular basis?
- How fast are they?
