Are there any eyes?

The crib quilt for Newborns in Need underway here is flamingoes. Flamingos? Nevermind, SpellCheck will figure that out. What I'm thinking is it would be just so wonderful if I had a disc of eyes for the many times I have to appliqué eyes on critters on crib quilts. Happy eyes, crazy eyes, sleepy eyes . . . that sort of thing. Anybody seen such a design? Polly

I see you had no response to your request for eyes. I was looking in a very old catalogue for Husqvarna, and by chance found a disc of eyes - or rather faces!

It is H19 in the catalogue, called Faces, by Elinor Peace Bailey, copyright 1997. Not exactly what you were looking for, but maybe you can extract what you want from it, if it is still available.

How kind of you, Joyce. Thank you. She's done a disc for Bernina too but I only 'speak' PES. I'll just wait until after the Christmas prep and do some more hunting. Polly

When you purchase most commercial designs, the include all common formats - .pes, .hus, .dst, .art, etc.

And if they don't, there are two readily available professional quality FREE programs that will convert the designs to pes for you. They are

Ambassador is somewhat more complex, because the free version is a full function embroidery application with most of its features disabled. I don't know if you've found these, but here are some more eyes:

of these also include heads or faces and would need to be edited. Herb

PS - I saw your original post, and thought I'd replied to it. Guess I didn't hit the 'send' button or something.

Thank you, Herb. I kind of stagger when I see a costs so hefty for an embroidery design. I can snuggle a lot of preemie babies for that kind of money and was hoping for something that wouldn't chew into my gift budget so deeply. Polly

I've had an epiphany! Well. Maybe not that great but it has crossed my dim little mind that I could waddle around in the alphabets of my embroidery fonts and simply do two the letter "O"s to make eyes. Black on white? White on black? Something. After the Christmas gatherings, I'll give it a go. Polly
