Digitizing software

What does everyone use for digitizing software? Any recommendations? I am trying a sample of Embird, it seems to be OK, especially for the money. I also use PE Design but it has very limited capabilities.

Just for what it's worth. I have the Janome Digitizer software but can not use it because all of a sudden my computer won't allow me in the program. It is related to the dongle somehow. I think those programs are no better than many other programs that don't use security devices so why put myself through that kind of hell. I will never again purchase a program that uses a dongle or box in order to run. Anita

Anita. As long as you have the dongle and you are the owner (have receipt/registration number handy), call the manufacturer and they should be able to help you out. If the item is defective, they may replace it for you, but you would need to send in the damaged one first (I'd recommend sending by registered mail, just in case it got lost en route)

I have been learning to use Embroidery Magic 2 and it along with the tutorial seems to be a great program and there are help groups. Carolyn

Thanks, EM2 looks interesting, especially since I have a Toyota machine, which is distributed by Pantograms, which makes the EM2 software. Still not decided though. The price is right.

The dongle problem was related to the windows service pack 2. I have purchased a new hard drive since I posted here and reinstalled Janome Digitizer and it works fine. Of course I have not updated with sp2. I still would not purchase a program that uses dongles or boxes in order to run. There are too many things that can interfere and cause the program to not work and it is a royal pain to figure out and correct the problems. I'm sorry but when the security device can cause so many problems for the legitimate user of the program, I don't want the program.
