embird 8 & embird 8 VS PE Design Please help

Hello, Does anyone know if you can uninstall embird 8.0 trial versiom and reinstall it? I downloaded it and only got to try it about 4 times. I think I want to buy it but would really like to try it a bit more before I purchase and I really need a few weeks before I have the money to even at $65.00 a stay at home mom has to save her pennies.LOL I already have brother PE Basic. My machine type is a Brother 180D Which I love. Does anyone have information to help me decide about going the embird way or Should I up grade my PE Basic which seems extremely over priced (for just a software change I think or is there more involved to upgrade to PE Design?) So sorry this ended up being a multiple question. Any advice any or information will be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for all of your words of wisdom. Diane

I don't think you can reinstall it and start the trial again. There probably is a way but I don't know it.

I have PED Basic too, but I could not live without embird, it is fantastic for experimenting with changing colours and sizes and combining designs but also for changing formats i.e. hus (husqvarna) to pes (brother). Which means if your not happy with some of the free designs available, you can go to a lot of dealer sights where they offer freebies and download their format and change to pes. As for upgrading to PE Design, take it from someone who spent the money. If you are really interested in doing your own designs there are better programs and more user friendly than this, although this is one of the better ones. If you want to digitise go for Generation Software. I don't have this but have seen it in action and it looks incredibly easy to use. In short my advise is stick with your PED Basic and buy Embird. And forget PE Design. I hope this helps you! Elsie
