scanner for PE 180D

Apr 03, 2004 7 Replies

Hi everyone,

I recently purchased a Brother PE 180D. I love this machine. It had an instructional cd that was hard to see what the instructor was pressing on the machine. Then I noticed that Brother offered a free vhs instructional tape. So, I contacted Brother several weeks ago. Well, I received the tape the day before yesterday and watched it. It has a demonstration at the end using a hand scanner. I have searched the Brother site and all over the internet and cannot seem to find this scanner. Does anyone know anything about his scanner or where I might purchase one? Any help will be much appreciated.

TIA Marilyn

I have one I don't use anymore since I now have digitizing software. If you are interested I would sell it. email me if interested.

Hi Limara,

Thanks for the info and url. I checked it out yesterday. They have it and they have it $300.00 cheaper than Allbrands.com. Allbrands wants $699.00 and creative sewingmachines wants $400.00. Can you believe the difference in price??? But I have found that with Allbrands before.

Yes Sonja I am interested. Can you give me some more info on it? I am new to the embroidery scene and just did a few months ago purchase my PE 180D. I like the Imager II scanner because it is idependent of a pc and it is portable.

DON'T mess with it, we went that route with a hand scanner, and it is not worth the cost or effort. If you don't have a computer, then maybe that is your only choice, but if you have a computer, then get software that lets you scan images or create images on the computer then out put them to a ultimate box with a number one ultimate card, the best deal out there and it works WORKS!!! we have the PE 150 and love it, and we have been downloading many images from the web and from alt.binaries.crafts, as well as from
