White 3300 Machine

Hi Guys, I have a friend who has seen this machine on sale at Joanns and thinks she

*must* have it for Christmas. I know nothing about it except for what I read in the feedback section at the Joanns website. Does anyone have any feedback on this machine that I could send on to my friend? I know it's a dedicaated embroidery machine. She already has a decent sewing machine (that was her Christmas present last year) so the fact that the White is embroidery only is no problem. All info is greatly appreciated. I do believe that Brother also makes this machine. It uses the same hoops and pes files. I've had my Brother PE150 for two years now, never had a problem.

The only limitation I am aware of is the 4" x 4" field. There are some designs bigger than this, but you can get Embird to resize down to this field size.

It's a great starter machine without taking out a bank loan :~)

Hello,

I have the Brother 8500 and the White 3300. I love them both and have never had any problems. Have had the 8500 for 4 years and bought the White about 1 year ago. The White takes the Brother blank card so I can stitch my own designs (I also use PE-Design 5.0) and freebies from the internet. Of course, her embroidery field is limited to 4" x 4" but MOST of the time, that's all I need. I did purchase her on sale from Jo-Ann's. It also came with a good VHS instructional tape.

When I have holidays, birthdays, and other events...these two machines have been great workhorses and they keep on stitching beautifully!

Thanks for the info -- I will pass it along to my friend. She was over today and wanted to try out my machine. She did a small design that was hooped in the smallest of my round hoops and I think that 4" x 4" stitch area the White has will be way more then satisfactory for her. thanks again & CiaoMeow
