In parts, if not all, of the United States, there is a free cycle ad and other places where people advertise things they like to get rid of; I'm sorry I don't have the web sites on hand right now, but someone else reading this group may have. In the meantime, I suggest you go to a sewing machine dealer in your area and check out the gently used machines that folks have traded for new ones. This is probably a good time to check them out as many sewists upgrade during the holidays. Emily
