Lettering Help!

Sep 16, 2006 2 Replies

I am having trouble when using smaller text. I cant seem to get the smaller stitches to come out looking good. I seems like the stitch count is too large. Im not sure how to properly resize. I mostly use embird built in alaphabet.

Any advice would be helpful

thanks Rock Lobster

It is better to remove the underlay and increase the pull compensation from the default to .300 (sometime even .400 depending on the size of the letters). This makes the columns of the letters a little fatter so they stitch out much better.

Do you know anywhere I can get small lettering, the built in size on my machine smallest cannot be reduced and I find pe design lettering still quite large. I like to make folk's names on cards I make, thanks. Would embird lettering be smaller if I bought that.
